Stauning Rye Sherry Cask Finish, 50.5%

Finished in Pedro Ximénez and palo cortado casks, the nose has raisins, damson, active rye spices, crème brûlée, and heaps of stewed black tea. There’s a big hit of sherry fruit flavors up front, with cherry, sultana, apple, orange peel, and plenty of spice, especially at this proof, evoking baked apple pie and honey. The black tea notes return along with spoonfuls of brown sugar at the end.
