There’s a creamy vanilla note with that woodiness—like eating ice cream with a wooden spoon—that carries over to the palate, where shaved coconut, candied pineapple, and salted crackers are found. Big spice, roast coffee, and bitter chocolate highlight the finish. Verges on too youthful and hot at times but charms otherwise.
