Here, remnants of Ghost Series 23a and 23b are married in a fresh umeshu (plum wine) cask from Kagoshima’s Komasa Jyozo shochu distillery. Parma violets and whipped cream, and with water, further aromas of black currant mousse, whole almond, Seville orange, and white pepper emerge. Maple syrup, stone fruits, citrus, and tropical fruits on the palate, but dilute to unlock orange, persimmon, caramel, apricot, ground almond, and baking chocolate.
