Oak shavings, vanilla pod, and perfumed soaps on first sniff, then hints of chocolate, dried orange disc, and juicy peach. Initially, the palate has peach, apricot, and guava, swept aside by clove, nutmeg, and pepper, then pastrami bark, licorice, leather, and bramble. The finish offers clove, nutmeg, ginger, and tobacco. It’s true to the spirit of Benrinnes character if you know it well.
