The ImpEx Collection Dailuaine 14 year old Single Cask (No. 312079; distilled in 2009), 56.8%

Initially fruity and estery on the nose, showing green apple, lychee, and cantaloupe, but then things take a savory turn with steakhouse aromas, peppercorns, and jalapeño. On the tongue, there is green apple, bitter dark chocolate, clove, pepper, and anise, rounding off with hot chocolate, tobacco, and leather. A great example of Dailuaine, and intriguing to taste it without its typical sherry cask influence.
