The Reverend Sour Mash, 45%

There’s not a whole lot to pick up on the nose, save for some drying oak and pencil shavings. Coffee and caramel kick off the palate, which is incredibly spicy—though not unpleasantly so—and also yields saltwater taffy, vanilla bean, and salted chocolate-chip cookie. Honey and fruit notes eventually poke through too. The finish is short, sweet, and spicy, coaxing out more chocolate and citrus peel.
