The Singleton 40 year old, 45.9%

The aromas are delightful and indulgent with marmalade, ripe plum, almond oil, rose petals, melted dark chocolate, soft oak, and a little fizz of wood spices. Finished in Zacapa XO casks, there’s a strong taste of that rum in the first sip, but then a thick velvety mouthfeel unpacks flavors of orange peel, marzipan, treacle, brown sugar, and fruity plums, though it ends with a surprisingly short finish.
