The Singleton of Glen Ord 14 year old Autumn Walk (Diageo Special Releases 2024), 54.7%

Matured in bourbon, wine, and experimental refill casks, the nose is pulled in different directions by notes of marshmallow, Jaffa cakes, red currant, pea pod, and celery tops. Smooth and creamy on the tongue initially, it’s exceptionally mouth-drawing, with milk chocolate, dark fruit, clove, and pepper, rounding off with black cherry and orange discs dipped in dark chocolate, then a spicy finish. Water brings out orange cake, but keeps it spicy.
