Aged in a panoply of casks including Spanish oak, sherry, port, STR, cabernet, armagnac, cognac, and fino, it has inviting aromas of mixed nuts, double chocolate muffin, straw- berry, and toasted almond. The sherry makes itself known on the palate, offering dried cranberries, wine-soaked fruits, and chocolate- covered cherries, plums, and raisins. The finish evolves, with barrel spice, dark fruit, and brighter stone fruit joining the party. Surprisingly well-integrated considering all the barrels in play.
