Westland Solum (1st Edition), 50%

This entry in Westland’s Outpost Range is the first in the series to use peated malt and is matured in a combination of new American oak and bourbon barrels. The peat is evident from start to finish but unfolds softly on the nose, adding a wrinkle of smoke to orange zest, Pine-Sol, and crushed fennel. The palate is herbal—faintly medicinal—with menthol, mint, and savory herbs. The finish turns smokier, fading slowly to campfir embers.
