Whiskey Del Bac Normandie French Calvados Cask Finished, 48.5%

Aged in American oak before getting a calvados cask finish. In a twist from past releases, this edition incorporates a lightly mesquite-smoked component. The nose opens with peach rings, Granny Smith apple, lemon curd, and Juicy Fruit gum. More fruit follows on the palate, but it’s beautifully accented by vanilla pastry cream, chocolate mousse, hot peppery spice, and just a whiff of smoke. Berry fruit, mouthwatering spice, and caramel carry the finish.
