On the nose, this Indiana distilled, Kentucky aged whiskey is fruity and bright. Lemon candies, Welch’s grape juice, and a bit of musty paper rest atop fig cookies and vanilla bean. Despite the age, the oak is subtle and present throughout without overwhelming the fruitier flavors. The palate leads with tannic tea, raspberry jam, and damp oak. The finish is woody, with fruit fading into vanilla sweetness.
