The Top 20 highest single bottle hammer prices achieved during April 2023 achieved the highest combined value of this list this year: $1,716,835 comprising 11 scotches, 5 Japanese whiskies, 3 American whiskeys, and 1 Irish whiskey. Macallan The Reach 81 year old, the oldest whisky ever sold at auction, had the highest hammer price. The list includes 11 single malts aged 50 years or more— from Macallan, Yamazaki, Karuizawa, Bowmore, Mortlach, and Glendronach.
