Finished in barrels that previously held pulque curado de cacao—a chocolate-flavored beverage made from fermented agave sap—infused with three types of Mexican peppers: chiltepín, guajillo, and pasilla. Citrus, lemon icing, vanilla, lemongrass, and Linzertorte create a zesty and fresh nose. The palate has dill, Red Hots, cherry cola, strawberry jam, pomegranate, and honey. The secondary cask really shines on the explosive finish, which has ghost pepper rub, Mexican hot chocolate, gingery Thai spice, vanilla, and oak.
