This Pennsylvania rye leads with an attractive nose of soft baking spices, cinnamon sugar, glazed apple doughnut, baked orchard fruit, applewood, and fruit tarts. The palate is similar, with the apple influence morphing into an almost cider-like flavor, joined by dry spices like nutmeg, cocoa, cumin, sassafras, kola nut, and oak. Some of those spices continue to the finish, joining with ginger, galangal root, orange, and cola.
