Accessible scotch blends, like this one from singer Sir Rod Stewart, make perfect introductions to whisky, and this easygoing dram works beautifully for neat sipping and cocktails. The nose has soft stone fruits, flora notes, sweet vanilla, raspberry, blueberry bubble gum, cinnamon bark, and a hint of oak. It needs a bit more body, but it’s flavorful, with vanilla, baked apple, grated milk chocolate, apricot, baked orange, cinnamon, pepper, and clove.
