A complex and layered nose gives mixed berries, tobacco leaf, chocolate cake, brown sugar, baking spice, and orange marmalade. The palate is velvety and sweet, but somewhat thin, with cocoa powder, chocolate-covered banana, vanilla fudge, and blackberry jam. Nutty chocolate, red fruit, and tea leaves highlight the finish. Strong flavors throughout, though the finishing cask doesn’t feel fully integrated.
