Now You Can Sip Pappy and BTAC At Sea. Here's How
Royal Caribbean’s new "Secret Stash" menu brings Pappy Van Winkle and BTAC to three Oasis Class ships

Royal Caribbean International has launched an exclusive bourbon program that transforms its Oasis Class ships into unlikely destinations for serious whiskey aficionados. The "Secret Stash" bourbon menu, available exclusively aboard Allure, Wonder, and Utopia of the Seas, features a curated selection of pours from Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) releases and Van Winkle expressions—bottles that typically require relationships, luck, or both to acquire on dry land.
The menu includes Eagle Rare 17 year old, William Larue Weller, Sazerac Rye 18 year old, and Thomas H. Handy Sazerac, alongside Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year old, Pappy Van Winkle 15 and 20 year olds, and Family Reserve 13 year old rye. They’re available by the half-ounce—starting at $55, running up to $115 for Pappy Van Winkle 20—or by the ounce, with prices starting at $110. You can get a flight of any three (all half-ounce pours) for $275. Not the cheapest proposition, but when else can you say you enjoyed a flight on Pappy on the open ocean?
Bourbon lovers aboard Allure will also find great offerings at The Mason Jar restaurant, which debuted earlier this year, and anchors the experience with farmhouse décor, live country music, and Southern-inspired cuisine spanning brunch through late-night service. The restaurant complements its rare bourbon selection with a core whiskey list featuring established names like E.H. Taylor Jr. Small Batch, Eagle Rare, and WhistlePig rye, a solid foundation that makes the elevated offerings all the more striking. Plus, there are fun cocktails on the menu, including a peanut butter and jelly bourbon libation.
Where will you be heading while you sip on all that delicious BTAC? Utopia operates three and four-night itineraries from Port Canaveral, calling at Nassau and Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. Allure sails six and eight-night Caribbean routes from Fort Lauderdale, visiting destinations including Falmouth, Jamaica; Willemstad, Curaçao; and Oranjestad, Aruba. Wonder runs three and four-night sailings from Miami to Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau.
Whether Royal Caribbean’s Secret Stash menu represents genuine value or simply premium cruise pricing depends entirely on individual priorities. For travelers, the collection of allocated bottles offers a pragmatic solution: access to Van Winkle and BTAC without researching unfamiliar bars in port cities or hoping hotels stock anything beyond the basics.
