Heaven Hill Debuts the 16th Release of its Old Fitzgerald Decanter Series

Heaven Hill has added a couple surprises to its Old Fitzgerald lineup with new releases throughout this year—among them a fourth edition of the luxe VVS (Very Very Special) bourbon and a permanently available 7 year old. But the long-running Decanter series adheres to a regular, biannual release schedule. The first release of the year, the Spring 2025 edition, debuted in May; now, the Fall 2025 edition is here.

The latest Old Fitzgerald Decanter Series bourbon is 11 years old, making it two years older than the spring release, though not the oldest in the Decanter Series, which has featured whiskey as old as 19 years. According to master distiller Conor O’Driscoll, the Fall 2025 bourbon is resplendent with “richness and poise,” and awash with notes of honey, butterscotch, baking spice, peach, and milk chocolate. It marks the 16^th release of the Old Fitzgerald Decanter Series, which originally debuted in 2018. The series identifies its Spring releases with a green label and its Fall releases with a black label.

The Fall 2025 expression is limited, bottled at 50% ABV, and priced at $160. For a more affordable Old Fitzgerald bottling, you can always try the 7 year old, which received a score of 91 from our tasting panel and goes for just $60.
