Jim Beam Debuts “Hit the Beam” Campaign as Part of NFL Partnership

Jim Beam has debuted its “Hit the Beam” campaign just in time for football season, centering on the dreaded “doink” when a field goal strikes the goalpost—or “beam.” The campaign features Ben Marshall from “Saturday Night Live” and former NFL kicker Kai Forbath in a series of videos that cheekily turn the missed kick into a celebratory moment. Each time a ball hits the goalpost this season, fans who enter online will have a chance to win an 85-inch TV, with up to five awarded weekly. If no kicks hit the beam, eligible entries roll over to the following week. The campaign also includes limited-edition bottles for the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, and Kansas City Chiefs, all official Jim Beam partners.

Sabrina Carpenter Is Getting Her Own Johnnie Walker Black Bottle

A year after signing a multi-year partnership with Johnnie Walker, actress and pop music megastar Sabrina Carpenter is getting her own Black Label bottle. The limited edition bottle, inspired by her latest album “Man’s Best Friend,” will have blue coloring and a dog paw motif. The initial launch covers the UK, with Mexico, India, and other areas in Europe and Asia expected to follow soon. The bottles are slated to come Stateside sometime next year.

“I adore creating little surprises for my fans, and this felt like such a cool way to bring the world of Man’s Best Friend to life,” said Carpenter. “I love telling stories beyond music, so getting to put my own spin on something as iconic as the Johnnie Walker Black bottle was such a fun challenge.”

Earn a Permanent Place in the Copperworks Tavern

Washington craft distiller Copperworks Distilling Co. is putting the finishing touches on its Copperworks Tavern center in the Seattle suburb of Kenmore, and now it’s giving fans an opportunity to become a permanent part of it. The distillery has launched the Tavern Founders Club, a tiered membership program that supports the distillery’s efforts. Each tier includes a bottle of a special 10 year old single malt, a gift card for the tavern, a limited edition hat, an invitation to the soft opening, and the holder’s name immortalized on a Founder’s Club display at the tavern. Higher tiers also include food and drinks at the bar, with the highest tier including a private dinner with distillery founder Jason Parker and up to eight guests. Memberships range from $300 to $2,500 and can be purchased online.

“Breaking Bad” Co-Stars Release a Dos Hombres Reposado

Just a few months after releasing its first tequila, Dos Hombres—the agave brand from “Breaking Bad” co-stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul—has launched its first reposado. This one was aged for 3 months in American oak barrels that previously held Four Roses bourbon, then rested for 30 days in stainless steel tanks. It uses a combination of oven-cooked and autoclave-steamed agaves and was bottled at 40% ABV. It’s available nationwide at a suggested retail price of $50.
