New Irish Whiskeys for St. Patrick's Day and Beyond
Fresh labels, bold recipes, and new expressions
March 10, 2026 –––––– Jonny McCormick
We pour Irish whiskey year-round, but St Patrick’s Day is a great occasion to look at what’s doing. There are new brands like Skellig Six 18, Clan Colla, and Garavogue, but established names aren’t standing still either, as this year we’re hearing about fresh releases from Redbreast, Proper No. Twelve, Shortcross, and The Whistler—all showing that despite the global slump, Ireland’s whiskey revival is alive and well.
For collectors, Bushmills recently showcased its 26 year old Crystal Malt, while Midleton Very Rare Vintage 2026 will land this spring. Irish whiskey bonder Two Stacks is elevating its blends with older components and a packaging refresh, while Dingle returns with a retooled single malt at a different ABV and friendlier price, while a core range single pot still and its first 10 year old single malt are set to come later in the year. Whether you plan to cheer on the parade, join the celebration at your local Irish bar, or finally make that dream trip to Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day is a time for one and all to raise a toast. We’re also saying sláinte to poitín, Irish cream liqueur, and the grab-and-go convenience of the Dram in a Can.
