ABV: 54.5%
SRP: $200
Availability: Limited

This well-aged bourbon honors Heaven Hill’s Deatsville warehouse campus and represents a blend of 17 barrels that were matured on the third floor of Heaven Hill’s Rickhouse AA. It has a mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, the recipe Heaven Hill uses for many of its bourbons, including Elijah Craig, Evan Williams, and others. Heaven Hill acquired the warehouses in the early 1980s, and today it’s home to nine rickhouses—AA, BB, CC, DD, EE, FF, GG, HH, and II—with a total capacity of 167,000 barrels. The Deatsville rickhouses are unique for their design, featuring a tiered roof that allows warm air to escape from the top while drawing in cooler air from below.

For Heaven Hill fans, this may be one of the last opportunities to taste a whiskey fully matured at Deatsville. Over the next few years, Heaven Hill plans to retire the warehouses from active maturation. The buildings will remain standing, but the whiskeys aged within are planned to be relocated to other warehouse locations across the state. The new expression is planned to be the first in a multi-year series that pays homage to Deatsville through 2027. Starting on March 15th, Heaven Hill will start offering tours of the Deatsville campus, including visits to two rickhouses and tastings of Deatsville 13 year old. Tickets will be available online.

High-West-Bourye-750ml-Front-Bottle-Shot_300.pngHigh West Bourye Blend of Straights (2026 Release)

ABV: 50.5%
SRP: $125
Availability: Limited

Bourye, High West’s cult classic blend of bourbon and rye, has returned. This year’s iteration combines two MGP bourbons—a high-rye (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley) and a low-rye (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% barley malt)—with an MGP rye (95% rye and 5% malted barley) and a rye distilled by High West (80% rye and 20% malted barley.) This year’s version features a notably higher ABV, bottled at 101 proof compared to the usual 92 proof.

Bulleit-Bourbon-Mesquite-Smoked-Malt_300.pngBulleit Mesquite Smoked Malt Kentucky Straight Bourbon

ABV: 46.5%
SRP: $50
Availability: Limited

The past doesn’t define the future, and Bulleit’s latest whiskey is a clear reminder of that—for the first time in the distillery’s nearly 40-year history, it’s removed rye from its flagship bourbon mashbill, landing on a whiskey that’s crafted from 65% corn, 30% mesquite-smoked malt, and 5% malted barley. That smoked malt is a distinctive deviation from past Bulleit releases as well, and it imbues the whiskey with potent barbecue-like flavors that mingle alongside the more classic bourbon notes, according to the distillery. While it was distilled in November 2018, the whiskey isn’t 8 years old; it was pulled from the barrel at just shy of the 7-year mark, and bottled in the fall of 2025. Bulleit is hailing this as its first “experimental new-make project,” and is part of a more expansive focus on experimental grains and production techniques moving forward.

The Formula 1 (F1) racing season officially kicks off tomorrow with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, and Jack Daniel’s is celebrating by releasing another collaborative whiskey with racing team McLaren, which is slated to race in its 1,000th grand prix later this year. Like previous editions, this one features a unique papaya and black design inspired by the team’s racing colors. This year’s version was bottled at 43% ABV, slightly higher than the previous editions, which were at 40%. It’s available globally in 700 ml ($TBD) and 1-liter ($35) bottles. Jack Daniel’s has been partnered with McLaren since 2022.

ABV: 47%
SRP: $55
Availability: Nationwide

The newest addition to the permanent Chicken Cock lineup is a 5 year old wheater made from 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley. The release marks a first for the brand, which has used wheated bourbon as a blending component in the past, but never featured it on its own, favoring high-rye bourbon mashbills instead. As with the brand’s other whiskeys, this one was made in partnership with Bardstown Bourbon Co. as part of its collaborative distillation program. While the majority of Chicken Cock’s whiskey production is outsourced, the brand’s Bardstown home base includes a microdistillery.

Augusta Wheated Single Barrel Bourbon

ABV: 61.1%
SRP: $90
Availability: Nationwide

Augusta Distillery has released two new bourbons. The first, Small Batch, is made from batches of 8 barrels or less and bottled at cask strength, and intended as an entry point into the distillery’s whiskeys. The second is a wheated bourbon—the very first wheater the distillery has ever released. Both new whiskeys will be available online, at the distillery in Augusta, Kentucky, and at retailers across the country.

These new bourbons are the first to have Augusta's name front and center. Up until now, the distillery has made but one brand: the Buckner's age-stated single barrel whiskeys.

ABV: 57.5%
SRP: $60

New Riff Distilling has released the 2026 batches of Silver Grove, its label that benefits the eponymous small town where one of its barrel warehouses is located. This year’s versions are notably older than previous ones—6 years old rather than 4 years. The bourbon has a mashbill of 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley. The rye has a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Like previous editions, this year’s batch is bottled at cask strength—a departure from the distillery’s typical style, which largely focuses on bottled in bond whiskeys.

SakuraBloomPR-01_300.pngPursuit United Sakura Bloom Bourbon

ABV: 56.9%
SRP: $90
Availability: Limited

When most drinkers think about Japanese barrel wood, mizunara is typically the first that comes to mind. But this new bourbon from Pursuit United, the brand created by the founders of the Bourbon Pursuit podcast, uses sakura wood. It’s a blend of straight bourbons finished in barrels made from Japanese sakura cherrywood casks, which master blender Ryan Cecil says impart a distinct floral aroma. While the whiskey is bottled at 56.9% ABV, the brand recommends proofing it down to 54% in order to coax out some extra floral notes and flavors.

Quest_s-End-Wizard-Irish-Whiskey_B-300.pngQuest’s End Wizard Irish Single Malt

ABV: 51%
SRP: $125
Availability: Limited

Quest’s End is striking while the St. Patrick’s Day iron is hot with its first-ever Irish whiskey. The new release is a 9 year old single malt sourced from Clonakilty Distillery in County Cork, Ireland. For fans of previous Quest’s End releases, the price tag of Wizard should be a welcome sight, as it’s the first of the brand’s whiskeys priced below $150.

As the 7th installment in the “Dawn of the Unbound Gods” collection, the whiskey comes accompanied by the 7th chapter of the original fantasy story written by Kate Welch (a co-author of the Dungeons & Dragons sourcebook “Ghosts of Saltmarsh”). Both the new whiskey and the new chapter will be available starting St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) at findfamiliarspirits.com.
